Colour Tiles is a strategic sliding puzzle game inspired by Google's viral daily challenge. Slide entire rows and columns of coloured tiles — just like 2048 — to group all tiles of each colour into one connected cluster. With 20 handcrafted levels that progressively ramp up in difficulty, you'll need sharp spatial reasoning and careful move planning to succeed. Unlike traditional puzzles, every slide costs a move from your shared pool. Solving a level rewards bonus moves, which carry forward to the next level. Run out of moves and the game ends — so plan wisely!

20 handcrafted levels with increasing grid size and colour complexity
2048-style smooth tile sliding with animated transitions
Shared move pool — earn bonus moves by solving levels efficiently
BFS-based win detection: tiles must form one connected group per colour
Desktop arrow keys and mobile swipe gesture support
Undo button to recover from wrong moves
Level progress indicator with 20 dots
Forest-green themed UI inspired by the original Google game

Slide all tiles in one direction using Arrow Keys (desktop) or Swipe gestures (mobile). All tiles move until they hit a wall or another tile. Your goal is to make every colour form a single connected group. Each slide costs 1 move. Solving a level earns bonus moves that carry to the next level. If your move count reaches zero, the game is over!

Undo last move
Start by identifying which colour has the fewest tiles — connecting them is usually easiest and sets up other moves.
Sliding toward a corner groups tiles tightly and often solves two colours in one move.
The undo button is limited — use it only when you make a clearly wrong move.
Bonus moves from easier early levels give you a buffer for harder later levels. Solve early levels perfectly!
On 5×5 grids, plan 3–4 moves ahead. Each direction change can scatter multiple colours.
Q
What happens when I run out of moves?

When your move pool reaches 0 without solving the current level, the game ends. You can retry the current level with a fresh 2-move start, or restart from Level 1.

Q
How do bonus moves work?

Each time you complete a level, bonus moves are added to your pool (the amount varies by level). These carry forward — so the more efficiently you solve early levels, the more moves you have for harder ones.

Q
What does 'connected' mean?

All tiles of a colour must form one group where every tile touches at least one neighbour of the same colour horizontally or vertically. Diagonal adjacency doesn't count.

Q
Can I play on mobile?

Yes! Swipe in any direction on the game board to slide tiles. On-screen arrow buttons are also provided for easy tapping.
